Shawn is a veteran of the U.S. Army Band, and a graduate of the University of Miami where he earned undergraduate and graduate degrees in music, as well as a Juris Doctorate. He has appeared with a wide variety of atists including Tony Bennett, Wayne Newton, Celia Cruz, Joe Williams, Arturo Sandoval, the Spinners, the 4-Tops, the O'Jays, the Temptations, and several Broadway shows and touring companies.
Before moving to New England, Shawn led his own band in Europe while teaching at the Ecole du Jazz et Musque Actuel in Lausanne, Switzerland. In addition to working with Moonglow, Shawn is a webdesigner and teaches private lessons on trumpet.
